Steve Jobs –  An Inspirer. A Visionary. An Entrepreneur

Yesterday marks a sad day for many people around the world; as one of the greatest entrepreneurs during our time, Steve Jobs, passed away. He was extremely successful as an entrepreneur and truly inspiring as a person and a leader. Steve Jobs definitely lived out his dream and his “why,” which was “to put a ‘ding’ in the universe.” You did it, Steve, you did it.

Apple leaves the following message on their website as a tribute to their co-founder:

“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”

We will miss him. And continue to learn and progress from all that he had taught us. After all, we are entrepreneurs.

[update 10/17/2011] I came across this post by Seth Godin that he titled “Eulogy of Action” and thought I’d share it with our readers here as well. It’s one thing to miss someone, to feel a void when they’re gone. It’s another to do something with their legacy, to honor them through your actions. It goes with what we are saying here – we miss him, but how will we learn and progress and do something with what he’s given/inspired us. Read the full post on Seth’s blog.
